Written with chrome.storage.local, readable only by the extension itself:

• Your location as you set it — either a country and city you typed, or latitude and longitude if you used the detect button.
• Your preferences: calculation method, Hijri date offset, whether prayer notifications are on, how often a verse rotates, and whether the next-prayer badge shows.
• timingsCache and hijriCache — today's prayer times and Hijri date, kept for the day so the extension does not re-request them on every open.

• A history of your movements. Only your current setting is kept, and each new value replaces the last.
• Your prayer habits, whether you dismissed a notification, or any usage record.
• No analytics, telemetry, tracking pixels, or advertising of any kind.
• No accounts, no sign-in, and no personally identifying information — not your name, email, IP address, or device fingerprint.
• Nothing is ever sold, rented, or shared with data brokers, advertisers, or any third party.
• No remote code. All logic ships inside the package Chrome reviewed; nothing is downloaded and executed at runtime.

geolocationoptional

Only used when you press the detect-location button, and Chrome asks you first. Typing a city instead works exactly as well — the extension never reads your location on its own.

notifications

Shows the prayer-time reminder you asked for. Turning notifications off in settings stops them entirely.

alarms

Wakes the extension at the next prayer time so the reminder fires without it having to run constantly.

storage

Keeps your location, preferences, and the day's cached times.

Optional permissions are requested at the moment a feature needs them — Chrome asks you first, and declining cancels that one action and nothing else.

• Aladhan API

  Receives the location you configured — either your city and country, or your coordinates — plus your chosen calculation method, and returns that day's prayer times and the Hijri date. This is the one case in the set where a piece of your data leaves the device, and it is what makes location-accurate prayer times possible. No identifier, account, or anything else about you is attached to the request.

• Al Quran Cloud API

  Asked for a random verse and its translation. The request carries nothing about you — not your location, not an identifier.

• Both services are independent of me and have their own privacy practices; the links above go to their sites. Requests are made only when the day's cached data has expired.
• Storage uses chrome.storage.local, never chrome.storage.sync — so the data stays on the machine it was created on and is not copied to your Google account or across your devices.
• Removing the extension from Chrome deletes everything it stored. You can also clear it at any time from the extension's own controls.

• Clear the extension’s saved data from its own controls, whenever you like.
• Remove it from chrome://extensions and everything it stored is deleted with it.
• Revoke any optional permission from Chrome’s extension settings, without uninstalling.
